I?m an aeronautical engineer 47 years old.
I?m the Quality Manager in a multinational american company. I have a good experience in Quality management systems and now I?d like to realize my dream, to have a job in the aeronautical industry.
I?d like to work the the Quality area, and I?m ready to start new training sessions if it needed to realize my dream.
I will appreciate any suggestion you will kindly give be in order to realize my dream.

your question seems to be very specific, however, it is a very common one !
how do I change job and prepare the success of this change ?
Of course the first lever on this is your mindset for the change. Are you ready to learn more, different things, go out of your usual "comfort zone" ?
If yes, you maybe have done 70% of the path toward your new job :) That is for the common part of the question.
For the rest, I guess you already have the Basics and Fundamentals in quality, especially the needed tools (8D, PPAP, QRQC,...), you "just" have to reinforce the aeronautics specifics such as regulations and other standards.
I then may advise you to acquire some knowledge on EN9100, JAR/FAR 21 & 145 to ease the transition.
I hope this will help you and wish you a nice journey to your new job !
